Course Description:
(Participants do not need to be in a conventional music classroom to take part in this course. Many contexts are appropriate.)
The course is designed for experienced teachers, in music education, with a focus on the principles of planning, sequencing, and structuring music learning. The content of the active engagement and small group music-making sessions can be used directly with, or readily adapted for, students in school music classrooms. Through involvement with the practical music-making sessions, teachers will gain a deeper understanding of the fundamental principles and practices that underpin effective planning for music learning, and how that is applied to an Orff Schulwerk classroom.
